✨ Design Inspiration: 3 Ways to Use Layouts

Not sure how to arrange your page? These three common setups are parent favorites and take only a few seconds to build using the + Insert > Layout tool.

1. The "Welcome" Section (50/50 Split)

Perfect for a school homepage or an "About Us" section.

  • Left Column: A high-quality image of your school building or a smiling student.

  • Right Column: A "Message from the Principal" or a brief mission statement.

  • Why it works: It feels personal and welcoming without overwhelming the reader with too much text at once.

2. The "Resource & Sidebar" (66/33 Split)

Best for pages with a lot of reading material, like "Enrollment Information" or "School Policies."

  • Left Column (Large): Your main text, headings, and details.

  • Right Column (Small): Use this as a sidebar for Document Links (like registration forms) or Quick Links to related pages.

  • Why it works: Parents don't have to hunt for the "Apply Now" button at the bottom of a long page; it’s always visible on the side.

3. The "Visual FAQ" (Grid Layout)

Ideal for "Meet the Team" or "Our Programs."

  • Top Row: Use two or three columns to feature different department heads.

  • Inside each column: Add an Image of the staff member, their name in a Heading, and a Collapsible Box for their bio.

  • Why it works: It keeps the page tidy. Users only click to expand the bio they actually want to read.

🎨 Design Checklist

Before you hit Update, check for these three things:

  • Balance: If one column is very long and the other is empty, try moving some text or adding an image to balance it out.

  • Mobile Order: Remember that the Left Column will always appear first on mobile phones.

  • Dividers: Use the Divider tool between your layouts to give the page "breathing room".
