How to Use Collapsible Boxes

How to Use Collapsible Boxes

Long pages filled with text can be overwhelming for parents, especially when they are searching for a quick answer on a mobile device. Collapsible Boxes are the perfect solution for organizing "heavy" content like FAQs, school policies, or supply lists.

🔽 How to Use Collapsible Boxes

A Collapsible Box allows you to hide detailed information behind a clickable header. The reader only sees the full text when they choose to expand the box.

1. Insert the Box

  • Place your cursor in the Main Content area where you want the box to appear.

  • Click + Insert in the toolbar and select Collapsible Box.

2. Add Your Header

  • Click into the top section of the new box to add your title or question (e.g., "What time does morning drop-off begin?").

  • Use Bold or a Heading style to make this title stand out.

3. Fill in the Content

  • Click into the area below the header to add your detailed answer or information.

  • You can add regular text, lists, or even images inside this expanded area.

💡 Best Practices for Collapsible Boxes

  • Group Related Items: If you have 10 questions about "Enrollment," put 10 Collapsible Boxes in a row to create a clean FAQ section.

  • Keep Headers Clear: Ensure the header clearly describes what is inside so the user doesn't have to click every box to find what they need.

  • Use for "Secondary" Info: Use these for details that are important but not everyone needs to see immediately, such as specific dress code rules or technical requirements for software.

  • Check Mobile Flow: These are excellent for mobile users as they significantly reduce the amount of scrolling required to reach the bottom of a page.
