The Revision History tool acts as a "safety net" for your team, allowing you to track changes, see who made them, and—most importantly—revert to a previous version of a page or post if a mistake is made.
Mistakes happen, but in Content Manager, they don't have to be permanent. Because Revision History is available on all content types—including Pages, News, and Events—you can always see the "story" of a piece of content.
Open any piece of content (like a Page or Event) in the editor.
Look for the Revision History or History icon (usually located on the lower right hand side of the page).
Selecting this will open a timeline of every time that content was saved.
The history log shows you the date and time of each save.
It also identifies which staff member made the changes.
You can click on different versions to see a preview of how the content looked at that specific point in time.
If you realize a previous version was better or a mistake was accidentally published, select the version you want to bring back.
Click the Restore button.
The editor will immediately load the old content back into the "Main Content" area.
Click Update or Publish to push that version live to the site.
Confidence for New Staff: Knowing they can't "break" the site permanently encourages staff to experiment with new layouts and tools.
Accountability: It provides a clear log of who updated what, which is helpful for teams with multiple administrators.
Seasonal Content: If you have a "Winter Break" page from last year that was accidentally overwritten, you can dig back into the history to recover that text instead of rewriting it from scratch.
